WEBINAR: “What’s Next for Mid-Power LEDs in Lighting Applications” by Philips Lumileds on March 25th

Following the rapid growth of Mid Power (MP) LEDs for use in display, MP LEDs are now gaining popularity for deployment in Lighting applications. Khim Lee, Mark Chang and Dale Kane from Philips Lumileds will talk about the latest trends of MP LEDs for SSL.

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM CET

Valued for their relatively small lumen package, MP LEDs are uniquely suited for linear and distributed lighting applications such as LED tube lighting and troffers. As their cost proposition and performance improve, MP LEDs started to penetrate retrofit applications (e.g. LED light bulbs), industry (low and high bay lighting) and in retail shops and hospitality segments. Each of these applications have specific needs which can be met with LEDs designed with the end application in mind. An example would be a high efficacy MP LED with good quality of light (min 90 CRI) for use in retail shops. We expect that in the future the lighting market will be served mainly by these ‘application-specific’ LEDs. In this webinar we will take a close look at MP LEDs, the factors that have led to their use in lighting applications and what we can expect in terms of their proposition and usage in the future.
